Highest GradedWonderworld Comics was one of the hallmark titles from Fox Feature Syndicate, one of the earliest comic publishers in the industry who were lauded for their above-par contributions to the nascent comic book business, often employing talent that would go on to become some of the top names of the Golden Age. Wonderworld #4 is adorned by a beautiful Lou Fine illustration of warriors dueling on horseback. Many of the stories in this anthology were created by the Eisner/Iger house who rose to prominence in the GA by packaging their output to several publishers.
This comic has tons of provenance, it is also the highest-graded copy on the census, which lists only 33 known examples of this book in existence. The colors are beaming, the construction is sturdy and the interior pages are a crisp, clean white. A very nice example of a Golden Age classic to be sure. This impressive 9.2 comic is typical of the high quality of the Edgar Church/Mile High Collection, as preserved by comics historian Jon Berk — and easily ranks at the top of only 6 copies graded over Fine in the CGC Census!
