A great rare "Year One" Batman Detective issue, one of the coveted pre-Robin issues, boasting a classic action cover and the debut of the nefarious Doctor Death. A wonderful example of the moody, evocative Gothic Batman that roared into comics under the auspices of Bob Kane, Bill Finger, and Jerry Robinson. This the ONLY FN UNRESTORED GRADED COPY IN EXISTENCE, and there are only two unrestored copies graded higher on the CGC Census. This is an extremely tough book to obtain unrestored (or in general), and always commands top dollar. The most recent unrestored sale on GPAnalysis close to this grade was an unrestored 5.0 which sold for $19,120.Sold
