Since then, he has endured as both a beloved character and an embodiment of hope and vigor, making this first appearance not just a piece of comics' history, but of American history as well.
Here is an affordable copy of the book that started it all! While noted as brittle pages, this is, in our opinion the least brittle book of any book we have seen CGC graded brittle. I personally held this book in my hands before it was encapsulated and flipped through every page with no problem whatsoever. If you win this book, I think you should have the restoration on the cover re-done and the pages reinforced.
