This was originally purchased at auction through the Wooley's Auction Gallery (Catalog included in lot). The catalog reads: Created over a decade ago, reportedly to trade for early Batman comic books, this fully detailed and inked (over pencil) showpiece presents the long-eared Batman flying through the air - with the original, chubby-faced Robin at his side. Framed by a huge moon and background cityscape, Kane's Batman and Robin seem to be swinging directly toward the viewer. An impressive remembrance of the Golden Age, handsigned by Batman's creator, Bob Kane.
