At the time when Superman The Movie starring Christopher Reeve was in production, Jerry Siegel, who was receiving no credit as Superman's writer/creator, was interviewed by Dick Cavett, Tom Snyder, CBS News, Howard Cosell and many other media representatives. Jerry wore this suit and shirt on many of those interviews. Due to efforts by artist Neal Adams to bring media attention to Siegel and Shuster and the support of the National Cartoonist Society, Jerry Robinson, and other artists and writers who demanded fair treatment for Siegel and Shuster, their Superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster credit was restored which now appears on publications, films and television shows.
