William Moulton Marston's complex comic creation was a vital addition to the superhero pantheon, a fearless feminist icon, equal parts warrior, diplomat, fetish object and symbol of empowerment. Wonder Woman is one of the few Golden Age creations whose style and format were dead-on from the start, resulting in a nearly unbroken run of quality throughout the WWII-era.
Higher-grade unrestored copies of this key are especially tough to obtain, as so many mid-grade copies were touched up during the pre-slabbing days. Finding a higher-grade untouched WW1 in nice shape is quite a catch, and the crisp yellows and sharp blacks on this copy are sure to please even the pickiest of Golden Age experts.
