Our hero lies motionless, battered and beaten after a battle with the Black Knight. Though incased in iron armor, Gene Colan's masterful artistry magnifies the frailty of Tony Stark's human body. The shading and line work are trademarks of Colan's singular style. The inking by a more-than able Jack Abel is the perfect complement to Colan's fine line work.
Created in the early days of Marvel in 1964 this is a truly magnificent piece of original art that could be proudly displayed. Another aspect that makes it so indicative of the times is Stan Lee's writing. The Shakespearean, larger than life caption "If This Guilt Be Mine" is Lee at his best and harkens back to days long gone.
The art is in excellent condition and measures a massive 21" x 13.5"
