Early 90s Carmine Infantino Joker Poster Painted Recreation. 18" x 23"
Michael Uslan Collection

In the early 90s, DC authorized official recreations of some of its most iconic images, allowing the original artists to revisit their career-defining work and to give collectors a chance to own original art that may have been long lost, destroyed, or repurposed. Longtime Batfans will immediately recognize this eyecatching image, a vision of the Joker that came to define the Clown Prince of Crime in the gogo check 60s pop art era, and one of Carmine Infantino's best-known and best-loved works. Originally seen on a collectible series of posters sold during the heyday of the Batman TV series, this was one of several Bat-images that seared themselves into the brains of fans and casual viewers alike. The legendary artist's architectural precision and strong sense of character are fully evident in this instantly classic piece, and this splendid ink-and-watercolor recreation of the indelible image and spread across bedroom walls and dorm room ceilings in the late 1960s will be the highlight of some hardcore Caped Crusader fan's bat-collection.

Art is in excellent condition and measures 18" x 23".
