Pg. 2; 13" x 20" Twice Up, pencils by Werner Roth, inks by Dick AyersOften overshadowed by Jack Kirby, Werner Roth's skills shine in this fine piece of panel page art from X-Men 18. The top panel shows the entire team with Professor X beaten and lying en mass at the hands of their mortal enemy Magneto. Moreso than comic book art the composition of this page resembles a high renaissance depiction of the angels in Heaven. The bottom panels showcase the sheer might of Magneto as he hurls the team further into the atmosphere and pulls the School For Gifted Students from its very foundation.
