Pg. 5; 14" x 20" pencils by Don Heck and inks by Dick Ayers, Jack Kirby assisted with Cap art
1st Captain America appearance in the TOS series

There are artists within the industry, who don't get the flashy write-ups the bigger names get, yet whose quiet, disciplined talents and unerring abilities are equally revered and praised by those who understand how tough the job is and how hard it is to get it right as often as these unsung heroes do. Two of those names are represented here: Don Heck and Dick Ayers. Heck, who co-created Iron Man with Lee and Kirby, shows his storytelling skills in a handsomely rendered page that also features his take on the mighty Captain America. With nuanced inks from Dick Ayers, this page shows the strong skills and effortless artistry of these respected talents, whose relentless pursuit of their craft resulted in such finely honed material. This page comes from a historic early pairing of two of Marvel's most popular heroes. The issue is a big seller, and original art from the Tales of Suspense is always a big draw for art buyers and comic mavens. Artwork is 14" x 20" and in good condition.
