Fawcett, with their newly named Whiz Comics, released, almost simultaneously, Master Comics, a powerful last hurrah for the tabloid-sized anthology comics that kickstarted the new industry. Fawcett started with a striking Harry Fiske cover and then filled its enormous pages with all manner of escapism. The publisher quickly sold through the print run. Because of their huge size, copies of this landmark were rarely saved in the numbers that more normal-sized comics were, leading to a great scarcity for this wonderful book.One of the last remaining treasures offered from the legendary John Wise collection, this stunning beauty comes from the Hawkeye pedigree and is an attractive copy for the serious collector looking for the rarest of the rare.
