Charles Schulz pencils, inks and signed; 7.5" x 28"Charles M. Schulz (1922-2000) stands alone among American comic strip artists, a true monument of American pop culture. His immensely influential and popular Peanuts strip, which ran an astonishing fifty years, is not only a vital piece of cartoon history, but an indelible artifact of American and world history. Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, and the rest of the gang are as much a part of the fabric of the U.S.A. as Paul Bunyan and John Henry, irreplaceable elements of our nation's mythology. As a result, original art from his strip commands record prices, reflecting both the intense love for the man's body of work and its central importance to the history of American humor.
