There have easily been over a hundred titles devoted to the Caped Crusader, more than Superman and Spider-Man combined. Starring in several serials, animated series, TV shows, movies, video games, novelizations, record albums, and virtually every other medium, Batman is omnipresent. Along with the Boy Wonder, the Dynamic Duo is universally recognized, and this issue, Batman #1, is a milestone key as it serves to announce that Batman and Robin are here to stay.
ComicConnect is thrilled to be able to offer our bidders the opportunity to acquire their very own piece of this historical issue. The most important and memorable part of any comic book is its cover, and the iconic covers of major keys are exponentially more treasured and valuable than any others in the art form. This cover has seen its better days, as tarnished and tattered as the Batman's cape after a long night out protecting the fair citizens of his beloved Gotham, that being said, this is still a rare and highly collectible piece of pop culture history. This cover should prove to be attainable to even the thriftiest of bidders and would make a great addition to the library of a long-time enthusiast or a fledgling fan who is just setting out on the path of assembling their own collection.
Overstreet Guide 2014 GD (2.0) value = $22,000.
