Origin & 1st Flash, Hawkman, Johnny Thunder; Comic Book Impact rating of 9 (CBI)
Flash Comics boasted some of the most distinctive and finely drawn covers of the Golden Age, thanks to the skill of artists such as Sheldon Moldoff. His malleable style worked well both for children's cartoon comics and action-packed hero books. As seen on this classic cover, Moldoff's fine lines and deft sense of drama create one of the comic industry's most lasting images. The artist communicates the character's super skills with a few simple details, including the sense of speed created by motion lines and the path of a bullet fired by the thug in the foreground. These elements combine to form a perfect introduction to the newly-minted hero.

This issue remains a top collectible and serious investment for introducing the world to two of DC Comics' biggest names: The Flash and Hawkman. The Flash, of course, has gone on to big-screen and small-screen stardom; Hawkman made his big-screen debut in Black Adam, and fans are hotly anticipating both characters' future roles in James Gunn's revamping of the DC Extended Universe.
According to the Overstreet guide, and recent sales, Flash 1 is one of the most-valuable comics in the world, and a copy in this condition is a true wonder. The growing popularity of the Flash TV series has reignited interest in the character's legacy, along with the interconnected DC productions that will culminate in the hotly anticipated Justice League film. Coming in at an impressive 9.4, this professionally restored copy has straight edges, sharp corners, and vibrant colors, excellent for investment or display. See if you can catch the Fastest Man Alive and add this beauty to your investment portfolio.

Overstreet Guide 2015 NM- (9.2) value = $185,000.
