origin & 1st app. Justice Society of America; 1st Atom cvr; truly iconic cover, one of the milestones of the Golden Age
After two issues of showcasing Golden Age heroes, All Star Comics contributed even more to comics history by featuring the origin and first appearance of the Justice Society of America. The official date is November 22nd, 1940, as the heroes get together to each tell a story about their most exciting adventure. By the time that they're done, the FBI is asking for assistance and we're looking at the formation of the first-ever superhero team.

This historic gathering would eventually lead to the creation of the Justice League, the Avengers, the X-Men, and more. The book's classic cover by E.E. Hibbard showcases these pioneering Golden Age heroes, featuring the Atom, Sandman, Spectre, Flash, Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Green Lantern, and Hour Man. (Johnny Thunder also attends, but he wasn't really invited.)
This beauty of a copy of boasts only moderate professional restoration, it retains all the bright colors from when it was first printed. As the vintage comic-book marketplace continues to grow, seemingly exponentially, the scarcity of in-demand books, such as All Star 3, has allowed previously overlooked copies another chance with collectors and investors. There just aren't enough high-grade vintage keys to satisfy demand. Ultimately, restored comics are rightfully becoming increasingly popular and valuable. Bidders may never see another VF/NM 9.0 copy of All Star Comics 3 again.
