Jerry Robinson's depiction of the Clown Prince of Crime lends him a sense of menace that had been somewhat lacking since the early, pre-Robin era. Enacting a dastardly plot involving mysterious gifts and missing body parts, "The Harlequin's Hoax" story within is a classic Batman mixture of intrigue and action.

This is also one of the greatest covers and stories of all comics and is a must-have! A cgc 2.5 unrestored sold for $4900$ In November 2016! This book is on the upswing... if you can find one! A cgc 3.5 just sold for $6850 This august. A 56% increase for the 2016 sale for a 3.5.
A Martin Scorsese produced Joker movie was announced and will be directed by The Hangover s Todd Phillips.
