2nd app. GlennWe see Rick and Glenn making their way through an alley shortly after their first meeting and Glenn's first appearance in the comic. His urban survival instincts appear in contrast to Rick's determination as a sheriff to be vigilant and keep his weapons ready. Despite his experience and training in dealing with emergency situations, Rick is confused and horrified by the altered state of the world, where law and order have suddenly disappeared. His dismay contrasts with Glenn's purposeful activity in the background and is highlighted by the shifting perspective of the panels. The last frame shows Rick's confusion looking upward and back over his shoulder at Glenn. The IGN gamer's network has rated Rick the #26 all-time great comic hero, a significant tribute to the character revealed in pages like this one, an outstanding early example of original Walking Dead artwork by the original artist, Tony Moore.
