The stalking revenant is a familiar trope on the covers of horror comics from the pre-code era, and this issue of Vault of Horror features one of the best. The zombie zoo design teases a compelling story that makes viewers want to dive into the issue and find out how this horrible event came to pass. Any comic book cover worth its salt should do just this, cause readers to plop down their hard-earned money without even thinking about it. As collectors know, that ten-cent investment is now worth every penny, and then some.
