Event Auction #52 Highlight: Pulps
Respect your elders, pulps are coming your way this holiday season. We have 45 pulps up for auction, Included in the bunch is the 1st pulp appearance of the Lone Ranger (1937). Along with this first appearance we have the 1st issue of Speed Mystery (1943) and the 1st appearance of Captain Future (1940). Iconic is the right word for this Astounding Science Fiction (1953) that would later go on to be recreated for the 1977 Queen album “News of the World”.

Brundage fans will love this 1937 copy of Weird Tales, fit with a classic bondage cover. Speaking of classic covers, this Real Detective Tales (1925) issue is one to look out for alongside this copy of Terror Tales (1937) featuring a torture cover. We can’t let you go without mentioning the first Weird Tales cover work by Virgil Finlay.
