"One of Our Phantoms Is Missing," script by Cary Bates, pencils by Curt Swan, inks by Tex Blaisdell; Clark Kent returns home to find a strange, elderly man in his apartment; This is Jackson Porter, Clark's new neighbor. Porter claims that he came over to introduce himself and found the door open, but Clark grows suspicious; Later, a strange phantom is seen terrorizing the streets of Metropolis. "The Long Weekend," script by Bill Kunkel, pencils by John Calnan, inks by Tex Blaisdell; Clark Kent is bored and looking for something to do; He meets Harry Davis, a private investigator who mistakes Kent for a man named Lionel Maxwell; He is trying to locate Maxwell to inform him that he stands to inherit a million dollars from a deceased relative.

Swan was a house artist at DC working on titles like Tommy Tomorrow, he began gravitating towards Superman and his related books, Superboy, World's Finest and Jimmy Olsen, he would eventually leave DC thanks to his personality issue with Editor In Chief Mort Weisinger. He would eventually return and go on to be the artist that defined the look of Superman in the Silver Age, eventually becoming the editor of the title, but after thirty years of keeping up standards of all things Superman, Swan was given the boot in favor of John Byrne's Superman reboot, Swan's comic work began to taper off after this dismissal and he eventually retired, but will forever be recognized as the Silver Age Superman's finest artist.
José Luis García-López is a Spanish-Argentine comics artist who works in the United States, particularly in a long-running relationship with DC Comics. In addition to his storytelling art, he has been responsible for producing the official reference art for characters in the DC Comics Style Guide, as used in licensed merchandise.
Tex Blaisdell was an American comic book/ Strip artist who's best known for his work on Little Orphan Annie. Tex has also inked for numerous DC comics titles including Green Lantern, Superman, Adam Strange and Batman.
