DESCRIPTION
Ken Kelly oil painting; beautifully framed in birchwood, frame value $350; art size 40" x 30" 1992

Few know that fantasy art virtuoso Ken Kelly is actually the nephew of the late Frank Frazetta's wife, Eleanor. While being immersed in his uncle's work, Kelly developed an imaginative and powerful style all his own. Beyond creating the immortal album covers of "Destroyer" and "Love Gun" for KISS, the artist is best known for his captivating work on Conan.

This painting features a deep-sea tableau of a demonic monster bearing down on a pair of attractive scuba divers. Note the sense of weight and scale of this underwater scene, which creates a gauzy, liquid atmosphere without resorting to cliche. This piece is stunning, and proves Kelly to be a true heir to the Frazetta legacy.
