Schomburg may have been more obessively detailed, Raboy may have been a finer draftsman, Kirby was pure punch and concentrated power, and Frazetta was, well, Frazetta, but oh man, Biro. Always over-the-top, always eye-catching, always aggressive, never boring, never vanilla. He may have been lionized for his frenetic and disturbing crime covers, but boy howdy is this cover a killer. MLJ had to compete with the Big Guns somehow, and throwing caution to the wind with covers like this got them plenty of attention.This gorgeous impossibly pristine Mint 9.9 Mile High is the Highest graded in the world and the next best is only 8.0. this is the earliest Golden Age comic by several years ever to achieve a Mint 9.9 grade from CGC. Bid strong to win this unbelieveable treasure. Sparkling yellows, blinding reds, an indelible cover image -- anyone who is truly serious about Golden Age hero books must take a shot at this truly awe-inspiring artifact. Hands down, one of the nicest-looking books we've ever had the pleasure to offer.
