Artist Information
Born in Uruguay, Breccia led a long and diverse career in illustration, joining the "Group of Venice" an expatriate art collective, he would work with some of the more cutting edge illustrators in Europe, occasionally taking work for English language comics and strips, including Mort Cinder and a comic about the life of Che Guevara which was rumored to cause the disappearance of the story's author. Breccia's innovative style was an influence on Bill Sienkiewicz and Dave McKean.
