origin & 1st app. Black Hood (Riverdale TV series); 1st app of the Skull; scarce!
One of the great heroes from the MLJ stable, the Black Hood headlined Top-Notch Comics with his atmospheric derring-do and colorful heroics, exemplified by this evocative and gothic cover, enticing readers into perusing his premiere appearance.

One of the scores of superpowered adventurers that exploded onto newsstands in the wake of DC, Fawcett, and Timely's successes, the Black Hood still stands apart thanks to his rough-hewn graphics, striking appearance, and memorably unusual adventures.
