Enrique Nieto pencils and inks; 11" x 17"Tears shed easily when it comes to these wonderfully kitschy covers from the far out 1970s. Enrique Nieto captures the decade's gaudy fashion sense thrown onto traditional character designs indicative of the romance genre. A long-hair gentleman, in a patchwork blazer steels a kiss from a flowered-haired, female in some sort of psychedelic garden while a scorned lover struggles to divert her tearful gaze. It's always fun to look at what sort of tantalizing images an adult male can conjure up to intrigue these comic's target audiences, teenage girls. These campy attempts are what make collecting art of this type so much fun. This piece is sure to add plenty of flair to an already great collection or become the start of a whole new appreciation.
