Luis Dominguez acrylic on bristol board which has been mounted to a piece of white archival board; framed 18" x 25.5"; 1974Marvel Comics' serious attempt to compete with Warren's Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine, the M.o.t.M. title would last nine issues under the direction of Roy Thomas. The debut cover painting was the only cover to depict all of the classic Universal monsters (the Wolfman, Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, and the Mummy), and even included a sexy Fay Wray, being held captive by King Kong!

Comic book artist, Dominguez worked in his native Argentina for years, best known in the US for his cover work on DC horror and western titles in the 1970s.
