Are you looking for a sophisticated way to display your treasured comic books? We are delighted to offer this handsome, hand-crafted Comic Book Gallery Display Frame designed to hold a treasured favorite from your vintage comic collection.

We knew these would be beautiful, but we were surprised as to how high-end, well-made, and just plain nice these are. Not only will these protect your comic from damaging UV rays, but they are beautiful and will leave a lasting impression on your guests, even your least pop-cultured friends and relatives.

The frame was originally custom-crafted for the actor Nicolas Cage to display a comic from his impressive vintage comic collection in his Beverly Hills mansion. At the time, they were sold for $400 each, and today would cost approximately $600 to have made. Each is crafted with UV protected plexiglass. The shadow box frame opens to insert a comic book. At the center of the inner-well is a triangular arch with Velcro tape lining the top. Mr. Cage had a matching triangular arch made of wood (not included but easily reproduced) glued to the back of his comic book holders, with Velcro tape lining the under-side. Using this technique, the comics would be placed on the arch and levitated at the center of the frame. At the time, Cage used fortresses to hold his comic books, but the same can easily be done today to display comics in CGC holders or mylars. The display window of the frame is 15-3/4 long x 12-1/2 wide, and able to display most any Golden Age, Silver Age or Bronze Age comic book holders at full length. The frames come unlocked, as the lockset would need a new key or to be replaced. U.S. domestic FedEx Ground shipping will be $25. International rates, please inquire.
