The Amazing Spider-Man has been deeply rooted in American pop culture for nearly sixty years and will be a part of superhero mythology for many, many more to come. Stan Lee's gift was an ability to get a kid on a stoop, who may have just spent his last dime, to identify with the larger-than-life and out-of-this world heroes he created. Peter Parker is a teenager from Queens, New York that has all the same problems teens have today; from homework to pimples to bullies to girls, but with the added pressure of being a superhero and all of the extra responsibilities that entails. When Spidey isn't battling a deranged supervillain, he gets to take a bit of a break with the local garden-variety criminals such as the group of bad guys in Amazing Spider-Man #10, the Enforcers.
