Quite possibly the second-most-well-known Hitler cover in comics' history, this book was spun-off the popular Silver Streak title, where the Binder Daredevil first appeared in a supporting role. The character was a success in the wartime era, and went on to inspire the Marvel iteration of the same name once the Silver Age got into gear. This copy of this GA treasure is the Lev Gleason File Copy, which only adds to the inherent value of the book, another amazing offering from the Jon Berk Collection. Jack Ralph Cole was an American cartoonist best known for creating the comedic superhero Plastic Man, and his cartoons for Playboy magazine.
The artist behind the original Daredevil at Lev Gleason Publications, Biro got his start working on Crime anthologies for the company. Also known for his work on Airboy and Steel Sterling. One of the standout artists of the Golden Age.
Hard living Bob Wood illustrated comics for MLJ, Harry A Chesler,and Lev Gleason between stints in jail and a premature death. He worked primarily on crime genre comics.
