Rick confronts Hershel about the "Dead Ones"In early Walking Dead stories, there was still a conflict and question at the center of the story, were the dead dead? On the wrong side, some felt there was a possibility of curing walkers of their disease, or curse, if you will. Eventually, the rules of Darwin prevailed and our protagonists grew to understand that there was no magical cure and they were all destined to share the same fate. All mankind is doomed to hungrily walk, it's that simple. This page addresses that question directly, as Hershel and Rick discuss the fate of Hershel's dead, and his terrible decision to store them in his barn until he can figure out how to help them.
