Rick and Tyreese find four other survivors in the prisonRick and Tyreese find four other survivors in the prison they are currently occupying, Dexter, Andrew, Axel, and Thomas Richards. They bring the rest of the group inside the cafeteria where they eat for the first time in quite a while. But, unlike Rick's initial thought, the new survivors reveal they are inmates not guards.
In issue #14 of the Walking Dead, Rick and his group begin the process of clearing out the prison, when they discover four inmates in the cells, and have to decide whether or not to trust these newcomers. In this double-page spread they feed, and then begin to interrogate Axel, Dexter, Thomas and Andrew. The obvious concern and distrust on Rick's face is expertly rendered by Charlie Adlard, who has settled in nicely to his role of artist for the comic after taking the reins a few issues earlier. This is one of the early, pivotal moments in the series, which has repercussions that impact the entire future of the story.
