Second City CollectionThe cover of issue #2 of Shadow Comics was rendered by George Rozen, who had been designing covers for the character's pulp magazines, and whose paintings would become the definitive depiction of the Shadow. The interiors of the book were illustrated by Golden Age journeyman Vernon Greene, also known for his work on "Bringing Up Father", "Perry Mason", and "The Masked Lady", and his skill and style was put to great use in his contribution to this comic "Robberies Baffle Police". Notably, this comic also presents an adventure starring one of The Shadow's pulp contemporaries, Doc Savage, whose story in this book "The Crimson Serpent" was adapted from Kenneth Robeson's pulp writings featuring the Man of Bronze.
