Bob Brown pencils/Frank Giacoia inks, page 8; 1972; image size 10" x 15"Last page of title story, Run for Your Death, great Bronze Age horror page by Brown and Giacoia. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition.
Artists Information
Frank Giacoia (July 6, 1924 – February 4, 1988) was an American comics artist known primarily as an inker. He sometimes worked under the name Frank Ray, Giacoia made the rounds to almost every Golden Age publisher, notably working on Flash and Batman stories, he also worked at Timely during this period. In the Silver Age Frank worked on many Jack Kirby pages, particularly in Captain America, and he also notably inked the first appearance of the Punisher in AMS #129.
Brown bounced back and forth from Marvel to DC throughout his career which began in the Golden Age, primarily known for illustrating Challengers of the Unknown for over a decade, Brown worked on a wide swath of genres and titles, from Western to Horror to Superhero books. His last great contribution to comics was the character Bullseye, who first appeared in Daredevil #131.
