Highest GradedThe Masked Marvel was an early entry into the superhero sweepstakes, the character had no super powers, instead, he relied on high-tech gadgetry, hand-to-hand combat skills and his three assistants, ZL, ZR and ZY. The Marvel was unique in that his secret identity was never revealed, making him quite the mysterious crimefighter. Keen Detective Funnies was one of Centuar Publications anthology titles, which had the common thread of offering only, well, detective stories, many of which were primitive and some pages were published in B&W to keep expenses down, but Golden Age fans love these special books from the very dawn of the comic, and this issue is one of the first examples of a masked hero in the industry.This Billy Wright copy of Keen Detective Funnies V2 #7 is the highest graded on the census, boasting a robust color pallete and having survived the years with almost no sign of wear and tear. When you consider the historic value of the first appearance of the Masked Marvel, the rarity, and the superior grade of this book, its an automatic win, we know there are some Golden Age hounds out there that are just biding their time, waiting to get their hands on this awesome comic.
