Neal Adams cover; 1st app Talia Al Ghul (daughter of Ra's al Ghul)This impressive Neal Adams cover sets up one of DC's biggest keys of the Bronze Age, featuring the first appearance of Talia Al Ghul--daughter of Batman mysterious nemesis Ra’s Al Ghul. The character would later become a proper pop-culture figure after Marion Cotillard's big-screen portrayal of the villainess in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. In the comics, Talia would become an on-again, off-again love interest for Bruce Wayne/Batman, as well as a fearsome and deadly adversary. The character would ultimately appear in over 500 different comic books while earning the #42 spot on IGN’s Top 100 Comic Book Villains of All-Time list. She remains an enduring fan favorite, with her debut a vital key issue for Batman collectors.

Don Heck was an American comics artist best known for co-creating the Marvel Comics characters Iron Man and the Wasp, and for his long run penciling The Avengers during the Silver Age.
Richard "Dick" Giordano was an American comics artist and editor whose long and prosperous career included introducing Charlton Comics' "Action Heroes" stable of superheroes and serving as executive editor of DC Comics. He worked on a wide range of titles over the years, including Batman, Green Lantern/Green Arrow, Teen Titans, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Action Comics among countless others. His style was very much in the Neal Adams mold, making him a popular go-to artist in the 70s and 80s.
