At once innocent and perfectly admissible for public consumption at the local five-and-dime while simultaneously a scandalous wink towards the baser natures of humankind, this is a true classic of comic book history. Quite possibly the best Archie cover ever, this image of Betty in a come-hither pose, overlooked by a leering photo of Archie is one of the finest in-jokes of the Golden Age, it's a wonder this cover saw the light of day. A serious must-have book.
Seeing as how this copy is tied for second highest graded, one would have to tie themselves in a pretzel to explain why they would not bid on this classic. Torching reds, deep blacks, and fluffy whites push Betty's yellow tresses off the page, just buy this book already. Hubba! Hubba!
