Irv Novick takes cover duties for this interesting experiment in layout, a sweaty, jumpy action-packed image featuring a yellow peril theme that was popular in the pulp period and became hot again post-Pearl Harbor. The cover features both Steel Sterling, Zip cover boy for quite some time, and Black Jack, a character that never quite took off and is largely forgotten, despite an arresting look and easily remembered visual style.
