John Buscema cvr/art; 1st app. of Firelord (Guardians of the Galaxy)"The Coming of the Firelord!" script by Gerry Conway, pencils by John Buscema, inks by Joe Sinnott; Thor commands Mjolnir to return to him, and so it must; Hercules returns with the body of Holmes, and in drawing close, the spirit returns to his body; While Thor changes back to Blake to check on Krista, Firelord arrives on Earth, and at the selfsame hospital; Hercules and Firelord begin to battle, and Blake's cane is knocked out a window; Blake races to the ground and changes to Thor, and then he stops the battle, realizing who Firelord is - herald to Galactus; Firelord then summons Galactus, and Galactus plans to feast this day.

'The Michelangelo of comics.' Buscema was one of the mainstays of Marvel Comics during its 1960s and 1970s heyday, best known for his run on the The Avengers and The Silver Surfer, and for over 200 stories featuring the sword-and-sorcery hero Conan the Barbarian. In addition, he penciled at least one issue of nearly every major Marvel title, including long runs on two of the company's top books, Fantastic Four and Thor.
Joe Sinnott is an American comic book artist. Working primarily as an inker, Sinnott is best known for his long stint on Marvel Comics' Fantastic Four, from 1965 to 1981, initially over the pencils of Jack Kirby. During his 60 years as a Marvel freelancer and then salaried artist working from home, Sinnott inked virtually every major title, with notable runs on The Avengers, The Defenders and Thor.
