not pictured in the Gerber journal; bondage cvrIn 1990, Ernst and Mary Gerber published a labor of love, the Photo Journal of American Comics, in which photos of the cover of every known existing Golden and early Silver Age comic was presented. A handful of issues were so scarce that no copies could be tracked down for imaging, which are now lovingly sought by collectors wanting the very rarest of comic treasures. This issue is among them, a comic remaining in such low numbers that collectors practically fight over the few copies that make it to market, one of the toughest issues to find of a series that is extremely rare in general, and is a particular favorite of scarcity hounds.
Cool blues and warm yellows adorn this VG copy of a wartime treasure, a book so hard to find that any copy in any condition is considered a real treat.
