Pencils Gil Kane, Inks Ernie Chan; 10" x 15"
Horror comics had become the subject of controversy in the Seduction of the Innocent era of the 1950s, and, as a result, were severely toned down in the Silver Age, but the genre underwent a renaissance in the 70s when morals and inhibitions were loosening, and previously taboo subjects became socially acceptable. With the success of Universal movie-inspired comics like Tomb of Dracula, Werewolf by Night, The Living Mummy, and a slew of other horror titles, Marvel jumped back into the subject matter with both feet. This intricately designed, and exceptionally terrifying cover was illustrated by the unique hand of Gil Kane and inked by the talented Ernie Chan, both respected Bronze Age mainstays over at Marvel. Art from the BA is starting to heat up as Silver and Golden Age page prices become out of reach for many collectors, so grab this piece while you still can.

Dani Serra acrylics; 2018; 12" x 18" - framed
A sublime cover painting by artist, Daniele Serra for the UK signed, limited edition release of Mark Alan Miller's Hellraiser: The Toll, published by SST Publications and made available in the U.S. by Cemetary Dance Publications. This hardcover edition was limited to 450 copies and released in early 2018.

Depicted here are Pinhead and the main protagonist of the book, Kirsty Cotton. Despite the fact that Pinhead is a literal Hell Priest, Daniele is able to create a vision that is soft and neutral, the two faces mimicking each other in a gentle, calm expression certainly an uncommon look for the terrifying Cenobites!

Paintings by Daniele Serra are always immediately recognizable because of their dreamlike qualities and the way elements will often bleed in and out of focus. Many of his pieces are dark, mesmerizing, and exquisitely painted.

Pg. 2; Carmine Infantino pencils, and Joe Giella inks; image size 13"x18"
From the story, Menace of the Reverse-Flash, in his first comic appearance
Page two from Flash #139 presents a snapshot of the Cold War epoch when families across the globe waited with bated breath to witness astonishing new developments in the space race with the USSR. This page offers not only a window into the perspective of a historic era, but is also a crucial part of the introduction of a now-iconic villain of the DC universe, Professor Zoom aka Reverse Flash. The futuristic ne'er-do-well retrieves Barry Allen's costume from the time capsule featured on this page and recreates the Flash's powers to become a 25th-century supervillain. The Crimson Comet travels into the year 2463 to thwart his evil twin, and lo, a classic nemesis is born!

This page is an absolute treasure for Flash fans as Infantino's penchant for capturing motion is on full display, and weaving a historical theme into these panels helps the artist inject a sense of grandeur into this wonderful and important piece.

Pgs. 2-3; Ivan Reis pencils, Marc Campos inks; 22" x 17"
Heavily influenced by the mighty Neal Adams, but also absorbing the sensibilities of 21st Century masters such as Ed Benes and Jim Lee, the titanically talented Ivan Reis was the perfect collaborator for Geoff John's post-2001 rethink of the Green Lantern Corps as an epic space opera, with all the rough camaraderie, sharp characterizations, and explosive action one would find in a top-tier military thriller or TV police procedural. Where other artists might flinch at a massive scene such as this or overload it with too much frivolous detail, Reis expertly guides the eye across this double page splash and provides a sense of motion, heightened drama, and danger.

VF: 8.0
by Mike Grell; image size 10" x 15". Considered by many to be the ultimate Grell Green Lantern cover.
"Beware my power Green Lantern's Light." Never have those words carried more weight than when you look at this cover from 1978. Hal Jordan is literally ripping his costume apart to show that the symbol of will is burning into his chest and Ollie the Arrow can do nothing but watch in horror in the background. Mike Grell's pencil work, along with the beautiful inks of Tatjana Wood, bring you the pain that Hal can barely stomach. This piece also teases a secondary story which stars Alan Scott, the Golden Age Green Lantern. The bonus imagery of Scott surrounded by flames with the words "The Doom of Dragon Fire" underneath is enough to coax even the casual reader into buying this action-packed issue.

Mike Grell and Tatjana Wood's teamed talents bring true emotion to the page, and to your mind. The duo of gifted artists makes you feel Hal's pain just as clearly as if your own brand of power was burning you alive. Look at Alan Scott down there, that's sheer determination on his face letting you know that the secondary story is an obvious barn burner. Grell has gone on to make a lasting impression on the comic book world with his masterwork on Green Arrow's Longbow Hunters series, and Wood earned accolades for her amazing runs with Grant Morrison on Animal Man and Alan Moore's Swamp Thing.

Greg Hildebrandt mixed medium on black board and signed; 2017; image area 20" x 30" framed 23.5" x 33.5"
Boba Fett, an iconic character from the out of this world film, "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back," strikes again! As you may know, Boba Fett is a genetic clone of Jango Fett but Jango raised him as his son. Jango Fett was later killed by Mace Windu and ever since that day Boba Fett has had a vendetta against Windu. He later earned his title as the galaxy's deadliest bounty hunter. His adventures continued as he worked with Jabba the Hutt and was hired by Darth Vader to locate Han Solo. Once Solo was located Vader hoped that this would lure Luke Skywalker into a trap.

Greg Hildebrandt draws the Boba Fett flying out of billowing smoke. He renders his Mandalorian armor with every scratch, dent, and texture from battles Boba Fett has encountered and endured. This adds character and personality to the seemingly masked and mysterious hunter.
