The maestro of the Golden Age set the tone for the era, and his covers are immediately distinguishable, many tried to replicate Schomburg’s penchant for controlled chaos, and some came close, but nobody could squeeze so much information into a page and still keep a cohesive thought in the viewer’s mind. This incredible cover to All Select Comics #2 is certainly no exception, Timely’s big three are shown destroying a bridge that is filled with Japanese vehicles and soldiers, the giant-sized heroes twist the metal like taffy while an aerial battle fills up the edges of the frame, another classic from the king of the WWII cover.
