Herb Trimpe pencils/ Bob McLeod inks; pg 3; 1986; image size 10.5" x 16"Cool Spitfire page from Trimpe and McLeod. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition, the paste-ups have yellowed and one is missing. Signed by Trimpe.

Herb Trimpe was an American comics artist and occasional writer, best known as the seminal 1970s artist on The Incredible Hulk and as the first artist to draw for publication the character Wolverine, who later became a breakout star of the X-Men. During his career he would draw nearly every character in the Marvel stable, and a few that weren't including memorable work he provided for Marvel's 1980's licensed titles for Godzilla, Shogun Warriors and The Transformers.
Bob McLeod is an American comic book artist best known for co-creating the New Mutants with writer Chris Claremont. McLeod drew the graphic novel and the first three issues of the New Mutants and inked a number of subsequent issues. He penciled some issues of Star Wars and Spider-Man as well. In 1987, he inked Mike Zeck’s pencils on the Kraven’s Last Hunt storyline in the Spider-Man titles.
