Batman and Robin sign on to an oyster collection ship to thwart the attempts of criminals to hijack the cargo in "Crime on the Half-Shell!" by Bill Finger, Dick Sprang and Gene McDonald. Plus: Slam Bradley in "The Educated Pig!" with art by John Daly; Air Wave in "The Radio Robbers!" with art by Lee Harris; and The Boy Commandos in "When Comrades Meet!" with art by Curt Swan and Steve Brodie. Tied with another 9.8 at the top of the census, this copy hails from the Twilight pedigree, discovered in Syracuse, NY in 1995. As one would expect from a comic graded at an NM/M this book is in impeccable condition, surviving the decades without any sign of deterioration or wear. This is the complete package folks, gleaming bright colors, clean whites, hot reds, and smooth purples and oranges that seem like newly printed inks. The construction is equally sublime, highlighted by perfect centering, a firm, straight spine, sharp corners, suffice to say there are no imperfections visible on this cover.
