Featuring a beautiful Margaret Brundage cover, the September 1934 issue of Weird Tales is a classic. The iconic and eerie Margaret Brundage cover illustrates a scene from the Robert E. Howard story "The People of the Black Circle". Advertised as "a smashing weird novel of eery black magic", this is a great Robert E. Howard Conan story. Brundage, Howard, and Conan are all names synonymous with Weird Tales, and make for highly desirable issues.
This copy of the September 1934 Weird Tales earned an amazing 5.5 FN- grade. With cream to tan pages, and a complete stressed spine, this copy has been well preserved in the nearly 90 years since its first release. The classic Margaret Brundage cover looks as scary and sexy today as it did in 1934. The red and white Weird Tales logo pops beautifully against the light blue and purple background. The central image is so clean and creepy, it will linger in your mind for decades to come. This issue also contains a classic Robert E. Howard Conan story, making for a beautiful book inside and out.
