features original sound w/ different music mix and "gunfire" laser battlesGeorge Lucas isn’t the only director who used his clout to change films for disc releases. James Cameron decided to “improve” the mono mix from the VHS release of The Terminator when his sci-fi classic went to disc, including mixing out the metallic scraping as the film’s title formed during the opening theme. This 1991 VHS reissue from Hemdale, however, thankfully retains the spirit of the film’s beginning. Even better, Terminator fans consider this VHS to be a true improvement on the disastrously blurry VHS transfers of the mid-1980’s, which also featured the full soundtrack played at the wrong pitch.
