Ron Lim & Al Milgrom Wolverine Art (RL, 1988 & AM, 2022); image size 11" x 14"
The largest Wolverine ever drawn by Jim Lee!

From the early days of Ron Lim’s career. Vintage rendering of Wolverine. Ron Lim and Al Milgrom have worked in tandem on many of Marvel Comics’ most popular titles over the last three decades. This is probably the only time they worked on the same piece 34 years apart from each other. Al Milgrom provides the background and inks in 2022. Extraordinary!

The art is accomplished in mixed media - various inks over graphite on illustration board and measures approximately 11 x 14 inches. Both artists signed & dated the work in the lower middle. The art is in excellent condition.

The History of the character:
The character appeared in the last panel of The Incredible Hulk #180 before having a larger role in issue #181 (Nov 1974). He was created by Marvel editor-in-chief Roy Thomas, writer Len Wein and Marvel art director John Romita Sr. Romita designed the character’s costume, but the character was first drawn for publication by Herb Trimpe.

From a private collection.
