Syzmon Kudranski Spawn #256 Original Splash Art – Story Page 20 (Image, 2015); image size 10" x 15"
From the Modern Age of Comics – Original comic art of “Violator” end of story page

One of the largest images of the character ever created. The Clown has just transformed into the demon known as The Violator! The art was published (Sep 2015) as the End Splash, Page 20, to the issue. Extraordinary!

The art is accomplished in graphite on Bristol board and measures approximately 11 x 17 inches. The artist has signed the work in the lower right. The art is in excellent condition.

Jim Downing has resurfaced in a coma following the aftermath of bugs taking over New York. After a news broadcast, Spawn visits WWRZ, the TV station where Wanda was heading the day she was killed. He meets the newscaster, who it turns out is actually a demon from Hell. After finding out Wanda is in the tunnel, he seeks out Michael, who tells him he needs a willing angel and demon to be a “key” to unlock the entrance. Al enlists Michael’s help. Al then goes to a seedy strip joint and finds one of his biggest enemies, the Clown, who he strikes a deal with. If the Clown helps Spawn to get through The Tunnel, Spawn will give him enough power to shape shift again. What Spawn doesn’t realize, is that Clown already possesses this power.

From a private collection.
