The page features Batman, the Joker, and Harley Quinn in an all-out battle, shortly after crashing a high-society soiree. Here, Ross creates the expected chaos of a Batman/Joker battle with his lovely henchwoman along for the beatdown! Beautifully rendered with pencil and watercolor, and entirely in black and white, Alex Ross again captures the noirish atmosphere that exemplified Batman in his early days before DC decided to focus their attention, in the 50's and early 60's, on infantile stories and humor for pre-teen children. The detail is stunning.
