Death of DavidNegan stabs David in the neck. Negan apologizes to Holly for killing David in front of her and explains that he wants her to understand that The Saviors are not monsters.
This is another one of those moments in the Walking Dead in which Negan impresses himself on the reader, he is a villain, to be sure, but he is also a man who lives by a set of rules, and woe to those who do not obey his orders. On this page Negan dispatches David with a knife to the throat, after David attempted to have his way with Holly, a captive of the saviors. The shock on David's face followed by the reverse angle of Negan removing the blade combine to create a brilliant, cinematic sense of rhythm, and in the lower panel, we can see the bloody result of crossing the line Negan has drawn in the sand. A shocking, memorable passage from the "All Out War" storyline.
