DESCRIPTION
Created by Ryan Meinerding for the #IMAXorBust project - charity proceeds to Alzheimer's Foundation of America; 31.35" H x 20.5" W x 11.94" D
#25/25 unique busts

Superhero movies are all the rage at the moment, box-office records are constantly being broken, new TV series are being announced all the time, and comic conventions have hosted millions of rabid fans year after year, and there seems to be no end in sight. But it is particularly heartwarming to see the fictional deeds of these beloved pop-cultural icons translate into real-life heroic actions. It is a true honor for ComicConnect to offer up this amazing piece to our clients, this beautiful one-of-a-kind Spider-Man bust was designed by the head of visual development for Marvel Studios, Ryan Meinerding, and will be auctioned off to the highest bidder in our next Event Auction.

Meinerding got his start working on video games while attending the Art Center College of Design when he was hired to work on his first movie project, "Outlander", which quickly led to a position on the crew of Jon Favreau's "John Carter of Mars", where Ryan's keyframe illustrations left a lasting impression on the director. Favreau bought Ryan on board to his new project "Iron Man", the first film in what would become the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where Meindering would eventually rise to the position of head of visual development based on his memorable character design work in many of the MCU's blockbuster films, including Thor, Captain America, the Avengers, and recently, Spider-Man: Homecoming, the film from which this wonderful bust originated.

This bust was originally created as part of the Spider-Man: Homecoming #imaxorbust project, which you can learn more about here http://www.spidermanimaxorbust.com/. But now, thanks to the good people at the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, this piece of comic book and cinematic history can be yours, as your winning bid will be used to help find a cure for this chronic neurodegenerative disease, which is the cause for 60-70% of all cases of dementia worldwide.

Painted with stunning, bright reds and deep blues, this Spider-Man bust is a prefect recreation of the classic Web-Slinger we've all grown to know and love since he first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 in 1962. The bust would be an amazing conversation piece for any man cave or collector's nook and is likely to appreciate in value over time. The piece measures as follows: 31.35" height, 20.5" width, 11.94" depth and comes shipped in a beautiful, wooden museum-style crate.

We are proud to be able to assist in this noble cause, Ryan Meinerding, the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, and ComicConnect will be covering all expenses and donating all proceeds to this important charitable cause. Here is your chance to be a real-life hero and help out those in need.
